Update compares hard enamel, epoxy-coated soft enamel and all-metal die-struck finishes by production stage, material choice and order requirements

NEW YORK – 24th July 2026 – GSJJ today introduced an itemized sourcing and quote framework for custom pins produced through its manufacturing network. Beginning July 22, the framework enables customers to compare finish options based on the production stages, materials, design complexity and order quantity associated with each project.
The customer-facing change is a structured quote format that separates relevant production requirements rather than presenting only an aggregate project price. Depending on the selected finish, those requirements may include tooling, enamel application, firing, polishing, epoxy coating or metal finishing.
GSJJ said its production teams will use centralized digital workflows to coordinate tooling, firing schedules and finishing operations. According to the company, GSJJ’s self-operated facilities manage these stages within the same manufacturing network.
The framework covers three primary finish categories:
– Hard enamel: Enamel is applied, fired and polished to create a level surface. The required firing and polishing stages are identified in the project quote.
– Epoxy-coated soft enamel: A transparent epoxy layer is applied over soft enamel, preserving the recessed appearance while adding a surface layer.
– All-metal die-struck: This option uses raised and recessed metal details, including sandblasted textures, without enamel or paint.
Pricing remains specific to each project. GSJJ is not announcing a universal percentage reduction or a standard before-and-after price because production requirements vary by design, material and quantity. The updated quote format is intended to show where those differences affect the final amount and to support direct comparisons among eligible finishes.
The update applies to custom pin orders managed through GSJJ’s manufacturing network across the order quantities and design types that its facilities can accommodate. Project feasibility, production schedules and final pricing remain subject to the specifications confirmed in each quote.
GSJJ is not announcing standardized scratch-test results or new warranty terms as part of this update. Customers with defined wear or surface-performance requirements should include those requirements in their project specifications so the appropriate materials and finish can be evaluated.
“The operational change is the way we present and coordinate each quote,” said Karen Linda, chief marketing officer at GSJJ. “Customers can compare the production stages associated with hard enamel, epoxy-coated soft enamel and die-struck metal, while our teams coordinate tooling, firing and finishing through the same manufacturing network.”
