CINCINNATI, Ohio — August 27, 2026 — Harmon Facial Plastic Surgery has adopted a written framework that establishes defined consultation and follow-up stages for facial and neck procedures, effective today.
The framework documents decision points used during initial assessment, consideration of available options, patient decision-making and postoperative monitoring. It applies to surgical and non-surgical consultations at the Cincinnati practice.
“This written framework establishes what must be addressed at each stage, including the concern under evaluation, relevant options, limitations and planned follow-up,” said Dr. Jeffrey Harmon. “It also documents that a consultation may result in a recommendation not to proceed.”
Required Consultation Topics
Under the framework, consultations address:
- The patient’s concerns, health history and goals
- Clinical assessment of facial structure and skin quality
- Relevant surgical and non-surgical options
- Procedure limitations, recovery considerations and potential risks
- Whether intervention is appropriate based on the clinical evaluation
The framework does not direct clinicians toward a particular procedure or assume that each person is an appropriate candidate. Recommendations remain dependent on an in-person assessment.
Postoperative Follow-Up
For patients who proceed with surgery, the framework provides for planned postoperative appointments, incision monitoring, suture removal when indicated and a process for addressing recovery questions.
Appointment timing and the number of follow-up visits depend on the procedure and the patient’s clinical circumstances.
