Floppydata Introduces Workflow-Based Selection for Residential and Static Datacenter Proxy Services

Updated framework helps customers match existing connection types to location, rotation, IP persistence and workload-duration requirements

NEW YORK, New York — September 23, 2026 — Floppydata today introduced a workflow-based framework for its residential and static datacenter proxy services, giving customers a clearer way to configure authorized workloads according to geographic representation, address rotation, IP persistence and operating duration.

Effective September 22, the framework replaces broad service descriptions with three configuration paths: residential, static datacenter and combined. The update responds to customer demand for a selection process based on technical requirements and destination-system access rules. It changes how existing services are organized and selected but does not introduce new proxy connection types.

Three Configuration Paths

  • Residential connections: A Floppydata residential proxy uses an IP address associated with an internet service provider and residential connection. Customers can configure these connections for workflows requiring geographic representation, connection-type alignment or address rotation.
  • Static datacenter connections: Dedicated IP addresses hosted on server infrastructure remain consistent across sessions. These configurations support scheduled jobs, long-running processes, repeated authentication and IP allowlists.
  • Combined configurations: Residential and static datacenter connections can be assigned to distinct authorized tasks within the same operation, enabling teams to match each workload with an appropriate connection profile.

“Customers previously had to translate broad service descriptions into their own technical requirements,” said Eugene Smith, CEO of Floppydata. “The new structure makes location requirements, address persistence and workload duration the starting points for configuration.”

Why the Framework Was Updated

Proxy workflows increasingly involve multiple technical and policy considerations, including regional access needs, session continuity, bandwidth planning and destination-system requirements. The revised structure is intended to reduce ambiguity during service selection by linking each configuration path to those operational criteria.

For example, a short task requiring address rotation may call for a different setup than a scheduled process tied to an IP allowlist. An organization conducting separate authorized tasks can also use a combined configuration rather than applying one connection type across its entire operation.

The framework presents five criteria for evaluating a configuration:

  • Geographic availability and representation
  • Address-rotation requirements
  • IP persistence across sessions
  • Expected workload duration and bandwidth needs
  • Destination-system access rules

Residential connections address workflows in which IP origin or connection type is relevant. The static datacenter service from Floppydata supports processes that depend on a consistent connection point. Combined configurations allow both connection types to be managed according to separate task requirements.

Authorized Workflows and Service Information

Intended uses include authorized web research, SEO monitoring, advertising verification, automation, location-specific testing and collection of publicly available data. Customers remain responsible for complying with applicable laws, contractual obligations and destination-system policies.
